Series “THE TWELVE MONTHS OF THE YEAR
They are twelve paintings of 90 X 90 cms. With octagonal frames included.
This series shows each of the twelve months of the year, seen from the warm and welcoming climate of Marbella, where I have had the pleasure of painting them.
Analyzing the content of each month, one realizes that most of the different fruits are in greater abundance, according to the month to which they belong, with some exceptions.
Sometimes, the month is represented by flowers, as for example the month of January, since these flowers are the most abundant in the mentioned month, although they are soon expiring.
This happens in the month of April when strawberries are at their best, and then continues for the rest of the year decreasing in size and becoming sweeter. In this month, the first roses appear with a singular splendor, after the severe pruning that takes place months before.
In the months of September to December you can see the mangos among other fruits. It is a period of true pleasure for their delicious taste. A tropical fruit with the great difference that here we let them ripen on the tree under the warm climate of Marbella, and go straight to be cooled before reaching the table, for the delight of the most demanding palate. But their varied colours of rich hues vibrate wherever they are, inviting you to prepare the palette and immortalize them forever.
